One of the features that set RCG El Prat apart as a golf club is its active desire to protect the environment. The Club’s surroundings, more than 32,123 acres of woodland that is part of the Sant Llorenç del Munt i l'Obac natural park, require specific attention and dedicated care.

As well as making efficient reuse of natural resources, recycling waste and saving energy, the Club's philosophy is reflected in its water treatment cycle, which is completely ecological. Waste water entering the filter system undergoes physiochemical treatment and is then biologically treated and filtered. Finally it is desalinated so that it can be used for watering the course.

Every corner of the course is watered by triangular sprinklers that provide the correct quantity of water per square yard according to the characteristics and aspect of the land. This state-of-the-art watering system is controlled by an IT program.
