Francisco Schröder has been elected, for the second time, president of the Real Club de Golf El Prat for the next 4 years. Since he took office in 2019, Pancho Schröder and his board of directors have focused their efforts on three fundamental axes: economic and environmental sustainability, maximizing member value and reinforcing the Club’s position as an international benchmark. However, and in the process of implementing the strategic plan set for the 2019-23 period, the board of directors had to face the health crisis caused by COVID-19.

This situation forced the president and his board of directors to make complex decisions, but without a doubt, the unconditional support of the members of the Real Club de Golf “El Prat” was the differential factor that allowed us to overcome a crisis that could have had devastating consequences for the club: “This situation forced us to take extraordinary measures in times of maximum uncertainty, but thanks to the decisions made, the commitment of the management team and your unconditional support, we were able to overcome it successfully”- Points out Pancho Schröder.

During the last legislature, the board of directors chaired by Pancho Schröder has implemented critical actions to guarantee sustainability, both economic and environmental. Among them stands out: the “Sustainable Course” initiative with the renovation of 27 of the 45 holes with the aim of improving the member’s playing experience and optimizing maintenance costs, the installation of photovoltaic panels to contain the energy bill to the while reducing the carbon footprint and the successful adaptation to the new regulations for phytosanitary products for field maintenance. During the new legislature, the work plan provides for the implementation of a new irrigation control system that will allow optimization of water consumption and progress in an ambitious project to migrate towards more advanced, efficient and environmentally friendly purification technologies.

Francisco Schröder faces this new legislature with the utmost enthusiasm and pride: “It is an honor to represent the Real Club de Golf El Prat and a responsibility to maintain the excellent reputation that our Club has at a Spanish, European and world level.” Among the objectives of the new president and the renewed Board of Directors is “to advance the social character of the Real Club de Golf El Prat. Last Wednesday, May 31, 2023, the first edition of the I Open Day Meetings & Events RCGP was held at the facilities of the Real Club de Golf El Prat. This event, which was attended by more than 30 companies and agencies, served as a sample of the wide range of spaces and equipment that the club has for organizing events, meetings, car launches and tournaments, among other activities.

During the activities scheduled for the afternoon, attendees were able to enjoy a golf clinic, organized by two teachers, a guided tour through the different rooms and spaces of the Real Club de Golf El Prat, a Team Building organized by the company Le Monnier & CO, ending with a cocktail tasting of the club’s gastronomy. During the cocktail, the company 360º VIBES entertained the last part of the event.

This is a new example of the potential that the Real Club de Golf El Prat and all its facilities hold. A club with a golfing soul for more than 100 years, but which not only revolves around its 45 holes designed by the prestigious golfer Greg Norman, but also has a social activity that embraces all kinds of events and celebrations, thanks to its spectacular location.

Last Friday, June 16, 2023, the already classic summer party of the Real Club de Golf El Prat took place, which had more than 150 attendees who enjoyed a fantastic evening that began at 8:30 p.m. with sunset . The members who met at the RCGP facilities enjoyed a great festive atmosphere, accompanied by the club’s own gastronomy.

After receiving the attendees with a welcome cocktail, they enjoyed a succulent appetizer made up of oysters, Iberian ham, wine and cava in the impressive pool area, specially prepared for the occasion, sharing space with the club’s collaborating brands.

Last Thursday, June 29, the 5th Ecotransport Forum organized by Transcalit – Sertralit and Encamion took place at the RCG El Prat facilities

More than 170 people including carriers, vehicle manufacturers, transport service providers, loaders and representatives of the administration attended this fifth edition of a meeting that has established itself as a benchmark debate forum for the road transport sector and that we had the privilege of hosting at the Real Club de Golf El Prat.

On this occasion, the leitmotiv of the day was the sustainability of the activity and the new sources of energy for vehicles, with the aim of trying to begin to give answers to a question: How can freight transport evolve? road to alternative fuels without reducing efficiency and service?

Jesús Lozano, president of Transcalit, inaugurated the Ecotransport Forum emphasizing the urgent need to reverse the ecological disaster that humanity has caused the planet. In this environment of uncertainty and great changes, Jesús Lozano advocated the growth of companies, their professionalization and the attraction of talent. Likewise, he highlighted the need for women to join the sector and in management positions and to improve professional training, being led by the sector itself. The 2nd edition of the Barcelona Open By Pablo Larrazábal comes to an end with the victory of the Basque golfer Javier Sainz with -3 and a total of 213 strokes throughout the 3 days of competition on the Pink Course of the Real Club de Golf El Prat.
